Chairman’s Message: $567 Raised for Charity | Get Involved at the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Happy Holidays!

Our Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce Holiday Luncheon was a great success. Lisa Walsh did a fantastic job chairing the Holiday Luncheon Committee. With help from Bill Edman and Belinda Douglas we were able to secure lots of great prizes for our raffle with all proceeds going to the Chino Neighborhood House and Caring for the Hills. In total, we were able to raise $567 for charity. We also collected unopened toys and canned goods.

Here are some photos of the event, taken by Donna Edman Photography.

Great things happened this year at the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce (CVCC) and we have even more planned for 2016.

In January, we’ll be encouraging our members to get more active and participate in the CVCC. I joined the CVCC in January, 2012, and eventually became an Ambassador. As an Ambassador, I attended events, met prominent members of our business community, and grew my business.

If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved in the CVCC, now is the time to do it. Join us on Tuesday, January 12 at noon at the CVCC Building for our Ambassador Committee Meeting to get more involved with your business community.

We have a lot of exciting things we’re working on behind the scenes to help build a stronger Chamber.

Last month we:

  • Created a Bylaws Committee to review and make recommendations for changes to our Bylaws
  • Decided to create a video to explain chamber benefits to our members
  • Reached out to the Manufacturing Council of the Inland Empire
  • Reached out to the Inland Empire Chamber of Commerce
This month, the CVCC Board of Directors is working on:
  • A Strategic Planning Session to be facilitated by Mike Lednovich from True North Executive Development
  • Amending Bylaws
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Selecting a Nominating Committee
  • Creating a Membership Benefits Video
  • Setting First Taste of Chino Meeting
